NOTTINGHAM FESTIVAL WEDDING – LUCY AND JAMES
CHILLED AND STYLISH TIPI WEDDING AT EAST BRIDGFORD HILL.
Lucy and James got married last summer at the beautiful East Bridgford Hill, which is an old country house in Nottingham with a tipi and woodland party area. It was one of the most fun weddings I’ve shot and the sun shone all day long!
Lucy and James got ready at the house with their bridal parties, and the atmosphere was absolutely electric, her bridal squad were so funny. I absolutely adored Lucy’s red kimono that she wore during prep and her elegant boho dress was just perfect and suited her completely. The ceremony was short and sweet, inside the main house and their cute dog was witness to the whole thing. Everyone then headed out into the gardens for confetti and Canapés.
They chose East Bridgford Hill because a stunning exclusive ecohouse and also has a tipi and a bad ass woodland area that made the most beautiful dance floor area complete with hundreds to fairy lights. The venue also has its own gin bar!! It was a festival wedding, which I BLOODY LOVE. I love shooting party weddings because everyones so relaxed and it’s so much fun capturing all the mischief and laughter from the day, both of which Lucy & James’s wedding were not lacking. They played lawn games in the afternoon, and pizza truck and ice cream in the evening. They decorated the venue with tonnes of bright wild flowers flowers in the main house and tipi and the woodland area had lots of colourful bunting. I also loved their ‘meant to bee’ honey favours, which were so cute.
The most memorable part of the day was the dancing, because the moves were hilariously bad. They also had shots during the speeches – it was brilliant fun! and we let off some smoke bombs, which I always love for a pop of colour in portrait and Lucy’s bridesmaids were setting absolute squad goals in their matching leather jackets.
Lucy and James’s wedding had such a fun atmosphere and so laid back. Here’s their wonderful wedding!
