I’m Charlotte — a Birmingham-based wedding photographer with a big soft spot for bold colour, good music and weddings that feel like a proper celebration rather than a formal performance.
I’m recently married myself, an elder-emo very much in my chaotic-but-happy era of life. When I’m not photographing weddings, I’m usually editing with something loud on, walking the dog, wrangling a toddler, or dreaming up my next creative idea. I love romantasy books, festival vibes, couples who do things their own way, and days that feel relaxed, fun and full of personality.
I know wedding planning can feel… a lot. Especially if you’re not into tradition, don’t love being the centre of attention, or just want the day to feel like you. Having planned my own wedding recently, I really get it — the nerves, the excitement, and the pressure to do things “right”.
On the day, I’m calm, friendly and very much on your side. I’ll hype you up when you need it, keep things relaxed when they don’t need fussing over, and blend in when it matters most. If you want someone who feels more like a reassuring presence than a supplier ticking boxes, we’ll probably get on very well. SSDGM.
My approach to wedding photography is simple: keep things relaxed, don’t overthink it, and capture the day as it actually unfolds.
I photograph alternative and non-traditional weddings across Birmingham and the West Midlands, focusing on candid moments, bold colour and honest storytelling. That includes a lot of lesbian and LGBTQ+ weddings — days where people are doing things their own way and prioritising what actually matters to them. There are no assumptions here, no awkward moments, and no one being made to fit a mould.
I’m not about stiff posing or dragging you away from your guests for hours. I’ll guide you when it’s helpful, then step back and let you enjoy your day.
I’m drawn to the real stuff — the nervous laughs before the ceremony, the hugs that last a bit too long, the chaos on the dancefloor, the quiet moments you didn’t even realise were happening. These are the bits that make your photos feel personal and emotional, not staged or forced.
The end result is a gallery that doesn’t just show what your wedding looked like, but how it felt. Colourful, relaxed, full of life — and full of moments you’ll want to come back to again and again.
If that sounds like your kind of energy, I’d love to hear about your plans.
My world revolves around my family — my husband, my daughter (who thinks she is in charge), two step-kids, and our dog Reginald (who also thinks he's in charge). Its chaos but I wouldn't change it.
New places, different light, unfamiliar streets — I’m always up for an adventure. Whether it’s a UK road trip or something further afield, travel keeps me inspired and curious, and I bring that same open, adaptable energy into how I photograph your day.
I’m not just a fan — I’m a line dance instructor. I love how it gets people moving without pressure or perfection, and how quickly it turns a room of strangers into a community. That relaxed, inclusive energy is exactly what I bring to weddings too.
