Lauren and Stephen got married last Christmas at the unique Priston Mill, which is an old Watermill near Bath. It was a beautiful day and the sun even made an appearance!
The ceremony was a beautiful service at the mill. During the ceremony they had several beautiful readings from friends and family. It was so much fun and a real tear-jerker. The reception was so chilled and their guests were so nice and accommodating.
Lauren & Stephen chose Priston Mill because it’s so cosy and relaxed and they just fell in love with it. It’s a fascinating venue, spread out across several floors and it’s full of history. You can even see the iron watermill on the first floor.
It was a festive wedding, which really got me into the Christmas Spirit. I love shooting Winter weddings because the light is absolutely stunning which I love to photograph couples in, despite the cold weather.
They provided Christmas hats and props for their guests to wear which went down a treat and they had a live party band, Try Groove perform on the night. My favourite part of the day was the dancing, because the moves were hilarious everyone got into the party spirit. Lauren & Stephen also had sparkler tunnel during the evening – it was so much fun and well worth everyone braving the cold!
The couple met school and have been together since. They got in touch with me just under a year before the wedding and their enquiry was really touching. Lauren said as a designer and fellow creative that she wanted an artistic style of photography that would be relaxed and capture the story of the day, which I thought it was just so awesome and completely my style.
Lauren and Stephens’s wedding was everything I love about weddings and had such a fun atmosphere. Here’s their stunning wedding!
A huge thank you to the awesome Danni Salmon for second shooting. If you’re having a winter wedding wedding, get in touch!
