STYLISH WEDDING WITH ROOFTOP PARTY IN LONDON
Rachel and Mike got married last May at the spectacular Century Club, which is a beautiful private members club in on Shaftesbury Avenue, with spectacular views of theWest End.
Rachel got ready at the venue with her bridesmaids and the atmosphere was full of excitement. The guests were greeted by a harpist and the ceremony itself was an intimate affair in the Green Room which is a large room with a fabulous arched metal ceiling. Then everyone headed upstairs to the roof terrance, which happens to be the biggest in Soho for confetti, cocktails and canapés.
The reception was relaxed and fun. They chose Century Club because it’s super stylish and has plenty of space spread out over 4 floors. They decorated the venue with flowers and gave the guests fortune cookies as favours as the venue was close to China Town. It was a relaxed wedding, which had plenty of opportunities for candids. I love shooting relaxed weddings because I get lots of chances to document the day as it unfolds.
Their first dance was to The Clash, and they finished off the evening with a huge party with an awesome 5 piece band called the Electric Soul Club who eclectic mix of old skool soul favourites such as Stevie Wonder and Otis Redding right through to Michael Jackson and modern pop from the likes of Daft Punk, Pharrell Williams and Bruno Mars.
The most memorable part of the day was the speeches, because it made everyone laugh, even I was crying with laughter. Particularly when Mike’s best man pulled out a self-portrait Mike had drawn of himself as a child.
Rachel and Mike’s wedding had such a fun atmosphere and such a laugh. Here’s their epic Soho wedding!

Huge Thanks to Kate Jackson for rocking the candids and second shooting for me.
